[06/11 2021]Precautions for use of Badu medical cooler box
With the widespread cooler box, many customers are puzzled and don’t know what to do if they want to extend the service life of the cooler box. In fact it is necessary to do a good job in maintaining the cooler box during daily operation. Badu should share some insulation common sense of maintenance in the use of the cooler box. 1. Please check the box for damage before use. Once it is damaged, please repair it immediately or stop using it. 2. When using the cooler box, please handle with care, avoid violent impact, fall and squeeze, which will damage the insulation layer and affect the insulation performance 3. When the cooler box is used, the temperature in the box must be kept stable within the required temperature range of the medicine before placing the medicine that needs to be transported in the box 4. When packing the medicines, pay attention to the plastic bags to seal the medicines, so as not to cause unnecessary influence on the medicines caused by the leakage of ice drain 5. ??After packing the medicines, if there is more space left in the cooler box, please find foam, newspapers, plastic bags, etc. to fill the gaps, so as not to damage the medicines due to shaking during transportation. 6. Please reduce the frequency of unpacking the cooler box during use to avoid the loss of cold storage and cooling capacity in the cooler box, and try not to open the lid for more than 1 minute each time 7. Please use a soft towel or damp cloth dipped in water or neutral detergent to wipe and clean the cooler box. Do not use strong acids, alkalis or strong oxidants for washing and disinfection 8. Keep the inside of the box clean and dry, and do not scrub with organic solvents or touch the inside of the box. When cleaning the cooler box, do not pour water into the cooler box for soaking to avoid man-made damage to the box body, water enters the insulation layer, and affects the insulation performance 9. Before and after use or storage of the cooler box, please wipe off the moisture and stains inside and outside the box, and keep the inside and outside of the box clean to prevent mold and odor -
[04/11 2021]Requirements for storage and transportation of blood specimens
Storage requirements for blood specimens 1. After blood collection, the specimen tube should be upright and stand still to avoid shaking and falling. 2. The specimens should be kept in a cool place, away from direct sunlight, to prevent the content of bilirubin, uric acid, etc. from being decomposed due to light exposure. 3. For specimens that cannot be tested immediately, such as biochemical immune projects, do not open the lid after centrifugation and store at 2-8°C to reduce the influence of temperature on the specimens; while blood routines and cerebrospinal fluid culture specimens should be placed at room temperature. 4. Blood samples for specific items need to be stored at low temperature, such as adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), growth hormone (GH), calcitonin (CT), parathyroid hormone (PTH), insulin (INS), C peptide (CP) ) Etc. If it cannot be detected immediately, the separated serum needs to be stored at -20°C. Blood specimen transportation Tip: It is necessary to ensure that the results of the analysis of the specimen after transportation are consistent with the results of the analysis just after the specimen is collected. 1. Workers of the transportation center check the specimens, inspection application forms and specimen receipt registers at the designated locations in each ward, erect the specimen tubes on the test tube rack (the syringe can be stored horizontally), and place the test tube rack in a dedicated, airtight container. The leaked specimen transport box is sent to the specimen receiving room of the laboratory. Emergency specimens should be transported separately from non-emergency specimens, and they must be immediately sent for inspection without delay, and handed over to the receiving staff in the laboratory. 2. During the transportation of specimens, attention should be paid to prevent spillage, evaporation and contamination of the specimens, and to collect and transport the specimens in covered containers. 3. Strictly control the temperature, such as cerebrospinal fluid specimens should be kept warm, refrigerated and frozen. 4. For all infectious substances (including blood) spills during transportation, the following cleaning procedures can be used: 1) Wear gloves 2) Cover the absorbed spill with a cloth or paper towel. 3) Pour the disinfectant on the cloth or paper towel, including the surrounding area (usually chlorine-containing disinfectant can be used) 4) When using disinfectant, start from the periphery of the overflow area and proceed toward the center. 5) After about 30 minutes, remove these substances. If there are broken glass or other sharp objects on site, collect them with dustpan or cardboard and store them in a puncture-proof container for disposal. 6) Clean and disinfect the overflow area (if necessary, repeat steps 2-5) 7) Place the contaminated materials in a leak-proof and puncture-proof waste disposal container. 8) After successful disinfection, notify the competent authority of the spillage incident and explain that the on-site decontamination work has been completed. 6. ??Regularly disinfect the inner wall and surface of the shipping box. -
[28/09 2021]How should Badu gel packs be positioned inside a box?
It depends on your cold life request and how many vaccine, medicine or other temperature sensitive goods would be loaded inside box. At a minimum, for the most efficient cooling, you should place an ice brick on top of your product or insulation liner since heat rises. For best protection, surround all six sides of your product with gel packs. You can refer to each BD item no. instrution and also can customized postion and quantity of gel packs based on your request.
